How To Make Begun Pora

Begoon Pora, Literally burnt anbergine, is an extremely quick and easy curry to prepare. After just a few minutes you’ll have a delicious, fresh and healthy curry ready to eat.

Ingredients:                   Sreve  :  3

  1. Aubergine  1
  2. Onion  1
  3. Tomato  1
  4. Turmeric  ½ tspS
  5. Fresh green  chillli  1
  6. Coriander leaves

How To  make:

  • First prepare the aubergine .
  • Simply pop it in the microwave for a couple of minutes until the flesh is soft and can be pulped. Gently in a pan with the turmeric .
  • Chop the softened aubergine into bite size pieces and add to the pan.
  • Salt to taste .
  • Cook gently with a little water and lots of chopped fresh coriander just before serving .
  • Tips
  • The aubergine can also be prepared in the oven.
  •  Bake the aubergine whole until the skin is blackened or burnt and the fl;esh is soft. This should take about 20 minutes at 180 .

How To Make Perfect Jeera Rice

 

Ingredients:

  1. Basmati rice 1 glass
    2. Water 1 and ¾ glass
    3. Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
    4. Cinnamon stick 2 inch
    5. Black cardamom 1
    6. Dry red chili 2
    7. Bay leaves 2
    8.Ghee 2 tbsp
    9. Cpopped coriander leaves 1/3 cup
    10. Salt ½ tsp(as your taste)

How to make:

  1. Turn on the flame, heat apan.
    Let the pan heat.
    Add ghee in the pan.
    Add cinnamon stick,cardamom, dry red chili and bay leaves.
  2. Fry it for few seconds Add cumin seeds. Fry cumin seeds for 10-15 seconds on medium flame .
  3. Add washed rice.Stir it.Add water (1 and ¾ glass) .
  4. Stir it.add ½ tsp salt.stir it.
  5. Cover the pan and cook it on high flame till it starts boiling.
  6. After boiling reduce the flame to medium and cook it for 7-8 minutes,cover the pan partially.
  7. In boiling sir it.you may remove the whole spices except cumin seeds.Open the lid ,sire it.
  8. Cover half of the pan and cook it for 2-3 minutes on low on the low flam.
  9. Cover the pan and cook it for a minutes on low flame.
  10. Make sure there is no water left, check with knife /fork.
  11. Turn off the flame , cover the pan and leave the rice for 8-10 minutes.
  12. Jeera rice is ready.
  13. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix it.
  14. Take out in a serving bowl.
  15. Garnish with coriander leaves.
